Football on Sunday

After a long off season, I was glad to have football on Sunday again.  The morning started out on a great note.  My son had his first Pop Warner football game.  He was on the losing end of a 14-13 game, but it was great experience for everyone.  We hope to correct a few mistakes and win next weekend.

The Patriots played lights out in the first half of their game on Sunday.  I realize that the game started to get close at the end of the game, but it was mostly garbage time yards and points.  The halftime score of 31-3 says a lot about how I think the Pats will play this year.

Tough game next week against the J-E-T-S!

  1. I was fortunate enough to attend last weeks game, I had great seats, only 20 rows off the field on the Patriots side. On top of that it was my wife's birthday so I took her to the game, which was her first.

I have to agree with how the team played, and I am excited for the season. This weeks game against the Jets is a big one. For the Jets, who lost last week and are supposed to be Superbowl contenders, it is a must win. For the Pats... well they are playing the Jets, what else needs to be said.

  2. Hey Dan,
I guess your Pats are playing the Jets right now. How about my KC Chiefs? 16-14 win over the Cleveland Browns this afternoon! Hope we see you in the playoffs.

Do you coach your son's team?

  3. The Pats were especially embarrassing today! The Chiefs look very good this year.

I do coach my son in football, wrestling and lacrosse. I've tried to get a season off, but it hasn't worked out. So, instead of taking overtime shifts, I'm getting paid in Karma.

  4. The Chiefs are looking great this year! I'm happy for Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel.
